Design Concepts
Find your product’s “wow” factor.
People call it many different things, but they all answer the same question: How are you going to show up to the world?
User experience is a critical expression of your brand. A great user interface considers visual design, typography, color theory, grid systems, and more.
To define your ideal look, feel, and tone, we explore a range of options to help you pinpoint the right aesthetic.
The design concepting process
Identifying guardrails
First, we huddle with your team to align on the guardrails. Is there an existing brand guideline we must adhere to, or are you looking to define one? How would we want users to describe the experience? What decisions have already been made about color, type, etc (if any)? We’re used to working within defined aesthetics, but also relish the chance to tread new ground.
Exploring all angles
Based on your situation, we create three different design approaches for one key screen of your product experience. Our team often thinks of these as “a hop, a skip, and a jump.”
Locking in a direction
We meet with your team to analyze the pros and cons of each option. Through discussion and refinement, we arrive at the chosen concept to guide future decisions.
Your final concept will help lock in colors, fonts, iconography styles, UI element styles, visual motifs, media guidelines, and more. Once the new aesthetics are established, the design concept is broken down into a style guide that your team can apply and extend.
““The new UI and UX has received a lot of positive feedback from our team internally and customers and the visual design does a great job in strengthening our brand and establishing a more modern look and feel.”
