UX design and research for complex products
At Slide UX, we bring 14 years and nearly 200 clients across enterprise software, digital commerce, cybersecurity, insurance, government, healthcare, and higher education.
The hard parts tend to be the same everywhere: complicated workflows, technical subject matter, decisions that carry real consequences, and users who don't have time to figure things out.
We’ve earned an average rating of 4.9 stars across 159 verified client reviews (and counting!)

Results from Slide UX clients
Design gets judged by results, whatever the industry. Here are some of the outcomes our clients have achieved.
eCommerce and Conversion
A Baymard UX award, ranking in the top 1% of eCommerce sites for desktop and mobile UX performance. In early 2026, our longtime client surpassed benchmarked competitors Grainger, MSC, Fastenal, and Schneider.
An all-time daily record for website sales on a redesigned industrial eCommerce platform, with visits-to-cart up over 100%, cart-to-checkout conversion up 14%, and checkout-to-purchase up 13%.
The highest conversion rate in company history for a DTC supplement brand after strategic checkout and landing page changes, with gains in subscriptions and order size.
Homepage engagement up by 300-400% on a reimagined shopping platform.
Click-through rates up 60% on price-drop emails and 30% on retargeting emails.
Visit duration up 532% year over year on a redesigned mobile site for which we provided design and oversaw end-user testing across desktop, mobile, iPad, and mobile apps.
Conversion up 7% and revenue per visitor up 7.5% on a new unified storefront for a brand in the training/education space.
Registrations up and support calls down within weeks of targeted post-launch fixes to a new eCommerce account flow.
Enterprise, technical, and regulated products
A 93% adoption rate after a national medical certification board launched our redesigned experience to a major share of its users.
Nearly a thousand candidates through a redesigned exam platform, with strongly positive feedback from both examiners and the physicians being examined.
Conversion lifts as high as 40% across restyle and optimization work for a global IT software company's marketing site.
A meaningful jump in form fills, plus a standardized page-type system that made the client's own dev team measurably faster.
New traffic, new business, and new internal demand at a billion dollar consulting firm, where the work we did on their blog and career site got other business units asking for more.
A prototype delivered under budget and ahead of schedule that our client included in a competitive bid, which teed up further work for both of us.
A study spanning 16 in-depth interviews and 457 survey responses that shaped launch strategy for a major collaboration software product.
Details are anonymized to protect client confidentiality, but if you’d like more information about any of these examples, don’t hesitate to inquire.
How we help
Complex, technical, and expert-facing software. Data integration platforms, container security consoles, tolling systems, certification exams, fleet management, credit risk. We get up to speed on hard subject matter fast, and our clients in these spaces tell us that's the difference.
Commerce, discovery, and purchase flows. Taxonomy, navigation, search, product pages, cart, quote-to-buy, and subscription signups. We map where buyers stall, then remove the friction with research-backed design and usability testing. Whether your catalog holds forty SKUs or four hundred thousand parts.
User research people actually reveal themselves in. Moderated interviews, unmoderated testing, heuristic evaluations, surveys, and journey mapping that show you why people behave the way they do, before you commit development dollars.
Design systems and developer handoff. Style guides and Figma libraries built for real engineering teams, so the design you approve is the experience that ships. Clients tell us this is where we save them the most time.
Marketing sites and demand generation. Site architecture, page templates, conversion optimization, and content systems for companies with long sales cycles and technical buyers.
Retention and lifecycle touchpoints. Post-purchase experience, email templates, account flows, and the moments that turn one transaction into a habit.
Built to partner with teams of any size or complexity
We're as comfortable with a 400,000-SKU industrial catalog as we are with a Kubernetes security console or a physician certification exam. Our work spans B2B distributors, consumer marketplaces, enterprise software, cybersecurity, grocery, insurance, tolling, medical certification, defense, and higher education. The common thread never changes: understand the user deeply, then remove everything standing between them and what they came to do.
eCommerce and conversion
Motion Industries
We’ve been there since Day 1, before Motion had a UX team. To this day, as a supporting UX team behind a leading MRO distributor's B2C website and mobile app since 2017, we've handled everything from customer interviews and A/B testing through design and dev collaboration. The redesigned properties set sales records and won awards, and the partnership continues.
Transcat
A ground-up reimagining of Transcat.com and Pipettes.com through stakeholder workshops, a UX audit, generative research, and usability-tested prototypes, delivered with a comprehensive Figma style guide across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Centro, Inc
A multi-phase partnership that began with an eCommerce refresh of the homepage, product pages, and checkout, and grew into an ongoing design retainer. When the new site's registration requirement generated support calls, quick design fixes raised registrations and cut call volume.
Capital One Shopping
A years-long design partnership spanning vision concepts presented to the Capital One CEO, personalized savings offers, coupon-overload research, and email templates that lifted click-through rates by as much as 60%.
HumanN
Strategic checkout changes and a mobile-responsive landing page that produced the brand's highest conversion rate ever.
H-E-B
Heuristic evaluation and design that brought the personal, welcoming in-store feel to online grocery shopping, validated through unmoderated user testing
Eco-Products
The sustainable foodservice packaging brand brought us in to rework their eCommerce taxonomy and page templates. We restructured how a fast-growing catalog gets presented so shoppers can browse logically, and wireframed templates that carry the brand's voice and value proposition through the whole shopping path.
Lucchese Bootmaker
Ongoing UX design support for this eCommerce site, including a product listing page filter redesign, a conversion-focused product detail page overhaul, and a full site navigation redesign across desktop and mobile.
Cerity
Cerity knew a clearer online workers' comp quote flow would mean more business, and they weren't sure where buyers were getting stuck. We untangled the flow's many conditional states to find the confusion points, then refreshed the design with updated branding, countless usability fixes, clearer results, and better conversion.
TicketCity
A redesign of the internal pricing tool at the heart of their ticket marketplace. Our work was rooted in interviews with the employees who live in it daily.
Enterprise and technical software
SolarWinds
A decade-plus relationship covering brand style guides deployed to 2,000+ employees, product launch microsites, buyer research, marketing site optimization that lifted conversion in increments as high as 40%, and most recently the UX and design system work behind their migration to a headless CMS.
Planview
What started as a focused conversion rate optimization project became a partnership spanning a decade, several full responsive rebrands, dozens of page types across three breakpoints, and a standardized design system that sped up their own development team.
Tigera
We partnered with Tigera over the course of nearly four years as they redesigned the interface for their SaaS security platform for containers, Kubernetes, and cloud. Their team appreciated the way we learned their incredibly technical domain quickly.
Denodo
Moving a data integration platform from desktop to the web. We started with a software audit, mapped use case flows and a future state, then delivered a style guide and visual designs for a range of complex key screens across both their technical and business-user products.
Thomson Reuters
Four years with ThoughtTrace, continuing through their acquisition by Thomson Reuters, improving two products. Label Insights needed features legal teams could actually use to train AI models. Document Intelligence needed a Microsoft Word add-in, which we validated through MVP testing and iterative usability work.
Sysco
Four years of partnership on the Menu Design software their customers used to find clunky and hard to learn. With our engineering partner, we analyzed the UI and the underlying technology, interviewed users, and defined a future state that resolved inefficiencies, added self-serve features, and gave Sysco new visibility into how the tool actually gets used.
High-stakes, regulated, and public sector
American Board of Radiology
A partnership that began in 2016 and is still running, for the body that certifies radiology professionals. Our work includes the Online Longitudinal Assessment used in place of the traditional exam, remote oral exams for nearly a thousand candidates, the internal tool volunteers use to write questions, and theABR.org itself. Adoption of the new signed-in experience hit roughly 93%.
Global Transportation Technology Provider
Complex new features for a major provider of high-volume customer service systems for transportation infrastructure, plus a reimagined call center agent experience built for faster, more accurate multi-tasking. We worked asynchronously across a geographically dispersed team, by design.
NIC Colorado
Colorado wanted residents using online services instead of showing up in person. We ran a workshop, audited the site, and researched where users were getting stuck in the Colorado DMV experience, then mapped what would move them online.
Defense Health Agency
A system that supplies US service members with current knowledge on caring for traumatic injury, and tests them on it. We delivered tailored wireframes for web and mobile inside a predefined SaaS publishing platform.
cFive Solutions
Software that connects community supervision agencies with the information they need to reduce recidivism. We reworked both the supervisor web portal and the mobile app people under court order use, building in behavior modification and kudos so the experience rewards completing court-mandated activities instead of only flagging failures.
W.R. Berkley
Launching Berkley Small Business from scratch, plus a digital design system with a pattern library and style guide covering four major workers compensation insurance brands.

Indeed
Five years as a trusted research partner across multiple studies, including a day-long customer journey workshop with 30+ employees, generative research on the job seeking experience, employer hiring workflow interviews, and content structure for a library of 2,000+ articles.
Harvard
Usability interviews, responsive wireframes, and visual design for the Online Learning portal and its catalog of 250+ courses, working inside firm brand standards.
ICF
Eight years of ongoing website UX partnership for a billion dollar consulting firm, including a modular design system, a 50th anniversary story site, a career experience built for people who've never heard of them, and interactive scroll-based article formats.
Bacardi
A platform for finding and sharing cocktail recipes, researched with home mixers, newer bartenders, and experienced pros, plus later usability testing of both the app and the desktop site.
Meta
Research with a dozen agency partners who sell and manage ads on Meta platforms, focused on how recognition benefits are valued. The insights informed program changes across regions and partner sizes.
Atlassian
Generative research into what people actually need from real-time collaboration at work. Our interviews and survey surfaced trends in how remote and hybrid teams operate, and those findings shaped strategy for a key product launch.
