Integrating the Full Course Offering for Aceable
Online Training Provider in Austin, TX
Challenge
Aceable is a leader in driver training, known for its interactive and stimulating courses designed to keep you engaged. Aceable hired Slide UX to design a new site experience that merged their various lines of online training into one.
What We Did
The client team was excited about the visual refresh and already had a content strategy in mind. We starting with wireframes to ensure alignment.
After reviewing wireframes with the team, we moved on to visual concepting, where we generated multiple look and feel options within the guardrails we had agreed upon.
Collaborating with the team at Aceable, we arrived at a preferred set of styles , but there were many areas where the team was undecided. Those became testing opportunities. Our final deliverables included a style guide, page layouts, developer specs, and web assets.
“Wow, I’m pleasantly surprised...and that means a lot coming from me!”
This project was unusual for us because it’s not often that we come in and quickly redesign just a homepage when strategy has already been figured it. It was also unusual because the team was very quick at using what we had designed! They had coded the page and were ready to test in within a few weeks.
Results
The new designs were fresh and appealing, but since Aceable was known for their driving courses, we suspected that adding other course types to the homepage might result in a drop in the page’s performance.
You can imagine our surprised when they shared the results:
+7% lift in conversion
+7.5% increase in revenue/visitor
Is it live? Can you see it?
Slide UX was not responsible for development of the designs, or the maintenance since. Still, the last time we checked, the look and feel of the live site was still rooted in what we had designed. You can see it at aceable.com.
