Mobile-responsive eCommerce
for Motion Industries
Industrial Parts Distributor based in Birmingham, AL
Challenge
Motion Industries Inc. distributes industrial parts. With over 300k customers, 439 global branches, 17 acquisitions, and annual sales of $6.53B as of 2019, they’re a big, successful company by any measure. But with lot of sales coming through existing customers and personal sales relationships, the web team knew that the custom eComm website they launched in 2015 was leaving some digital transactions on the table.
That’s where Slide UX came in.
What We Do
In partnering with Motion Industries’ web and marketing teams, we have multiplied their UX design capacity. Rather than focusing on a single project, we are a overall partner, fielding assignments that range from strategic research to detailed dev-ready design. In weekly meetings, we review new requests, discuss progress, and prioritize upcoming work.
Along the way, we’ve gotten Motion moving with:
mobile-responsive redesigns of the main website, supplier portal, and customer interface
tracking interfaces for assets and repairs
user research to reveal and refine feature set priorities
native mobile app design
email design
competitive/eCommerce research
style guide
